Dear Agung,
So here's a question, and one that probably isn't asked often enough -- how good of a job-seeker are you?
  1. Top notch -- I work hard at my job search and do all of the right things.
  2. Pretty darn good -- I try to stay focused and do most of the right things.
  3. Proficient -- I am job searching, but I could probably be doing quite a bit more.
  4. Slacker -- I'm not proud of it, but it's probably true.
Of course it's great if you answered #1, but the most important thing is that you're honest with yourself. You have to acknowledge that being a job seeker takes skills, effort, and resources, and see whether you have all of what you need (most people don't when they start their job search!) But realizing that you need to equip yourself in order make your job search more effective is critical. It's the way you fill your tool box with the right tools to find the right job!
