Dear Agung,
Do you know what the 5 most popular flexible jobs are, in terms of what job-seekers are looking for? They are Nurse, Data Entry, Marketing, Writer, and Java Developer. I don't know off-hand what job you are searching for, but personally I was surprised that Nurse was the most popular, and I was also intrigued that Marketing is so high up.
When we looked at this data, we also checked our Flexible Job Index, which tracks the most popular categories for flexible job postings. The most abundant telecommuting, freelance, part-time and flexible job opportunities are in the following five categories: Medical & Health (ah, the nurse!), Administrative, Education & Training, Sales, and Web & Software Development. That's a pretty broad mix, representing everything from doctors and case managers to professors and programmers, virtual admins and account managers, to app developers and sales managers.
And don't lose hope if the industry that you're interested in isn't on that list. With job listings in over 50 career categories, ranging from entry-level to executive, part-time to full-time, our researchers are constantly surprising and inspiring me with how many types of jobs they find that can be done (and done well, even better!) with flexible work options incorporated!
Please read on for more on current job listings and great expert job tips, and if you choose to join FlexJobs to get a leg up in your job search, remember to use the "NEWSLETTER" promo code for 30% off! As always, thank you for considering FlexJobs a trusted resource in your search for a telecommute, freelance, part-time, or flexible schedule job. Many cheers to an amazing year ahead!

Why Recruiters Look at Online Profiles
Social media continues to be a great tool in the search for a great job. Job seekers and companies are using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter -- even Pinterest and Instagram -- to find the right job/candidate and promote skills/positions. What some job hunters still don't seem to completely embrace is the fact that employers are searching the social networks of candidates to get a clearer picture of who they would be hiring. In fact, it turns out that recruiters look at online profiles for some very specific reasons.
