Dear Agung,
Every week, I'm honored to write this newsletter. I try to include a mix of information that will be of value to you as someone who has shown interest in finding a flexible job -- practical job search tips, job listings, news and trends, and sometimes my personal thoughts as a working mother, founder of FlexJobs, telecommuter, and work flexibility advocate. I'd love to hear from you though, so I've just posted a question on our Google+ page, "What would YOU like to see in the FlexJobs newsletter?" Please share your thoughts with me!
So I believe work flexibility is really important, and for many different reasons. Today I'm reflecting on life's unexpected events that happen when we least expect them. For example, our small team has unfortunately had a slew of medical issues impacting one of us or our family members, including two sudden deaths of family members, three medical procedures, and urgent caretaking needs. I know from talking with my team that having work flexibility has helped in small part to make these situations easier for those affected.
As an employer, I am so, so, so glad to say to someone on our team, "take the time you need" without a second thought. We juggle around responsibilities, but our entire team is on board knowing that being flexible is a benefit to all of us as we support each other. For us, humanity is not separate from business, it's about doing the best we can with both. And in doing so, I believe that happier employees build better companies.
That's why the team at FlexJobs believes so deeply in helping others find jobs with flexible work options. So, as always, thank you for trusting us to help in your job search to find great flexible job opportunities. If there's anything to make your experience better, please let us know. Many cheers,

Sara, and the FlexJobs Team
