Dear Agung,
Do you know that October is National Work & Family Month? Although at FlexJobs we tend to think as every month as work and family month, we're happily on the bandwagon to help raise awareness for this great topic. (Plus, stay tuned for a big announcement related to this next week!)
Along those lines, some people ask me why our company's name is "FlexJobs" rather than a name more mom-focused, since a common perception is that flexible work as a "mom thing." To put it simply, flexible work is for anyone, and different kinds of flexible work options work for different people. Working parents are a big part of the audience, but freelancers, millenials, retirees, military spouses, people who live in rural areas, and many other people for many other reasons are looking for work flexibility and a better work-life balance.
Although telecommuting jobs are the probably the most popular, millions of people are interested in part-time, freelance, flexible and alternative schedule jobs too. And when I started FlexJobs, I always envisioned our site to be a hub for all of these fantastic types of work flexibility.
Thank you for trusting us to help in your job search to find great telecommuting, freelance, part-time and flexible schedule opportunities! If there's anything to make your experience better, please let us know. Many cheers,

Sara, and the FlexJobs Team

Why Employers Don't Respond to Job Applications
You read through the job posting. Twice. Your skills and work experience are a perfect match for the responsibilities of the position you're applying for. You take the time to carefully craft a job application that rivals any Academy Award-winning speech. You follow the submission process down to the last detail. You hit Send and you wait. And wait. But you never hear back from the company you applied for. Sadly, not responding to a job candidate's application has become a growing trend among companies.
