Hi Agung, Over the years I have made 10's of millions in sales of many different products. These include information products like Language learning, health, personal development, dog training, wedding speech writing tips, day care management software, learn guitar programs, and many dozens more. Plus I've also written copy for dropshipping products too, like knife sharpening stone, vegetable spiralisers and more. The thing is, good copy can be the difference between double and triple the conversion rates. It's such an important thing to get obsessed about if you want to do well in online marketing. So today I've decided to write a lengthy email where I reveal 10 Steps to Writing High-Converting Copy. These are the core basics for any direct response copy. This is ideal if you're going to write long-form advertisements and sales letters, or even video sales letters... You can apply the same principles to Amazon listings or eBay listings but you'll shorten the formula a bit. So let's get into it: 1. Know your target market, big promise, and hook. It's important that you know who your target market is, what your big promise is to them, and your hook (what makes your product different in a way that makes them curious?) 2. Point out WHO your message is for If you're selling a weight loss product, you can say above your main headline: "If you're a woman aged over 40, and struggling to lose stubborn belly fat, then read on..." 3. Identify their #1 problems, subproblems, and objections ...and you have to have a way to solve these problems in your copy. You also have to handle the objections. Objections might be: "I've tried something like this before but it didn't work." "How do I know this is truly different?" "What would other people think of me if I bought this product?" You have to identify these and enter these in your copy. 4. Talk about why what their currently doing to solve their problem won't work You want to separate yourself from what they might be already doing and make sure you can go ahead and offer a solution. 5. Tell them how you discovered what DOES work (Explain your BIG idea/hook) After telling them why what their currently doing doesn't work... ...you have to tell them what does work. You have to tell the story of how you came up with the solution. 6. Spell out the other major benefits of your offer (Bullet points) I won't teach you how to write bullet points in this video but you probably have seen long-form sales letters with lots of bullet points. You have to have those other major benefits in your offer laid out nicely. 7. Inject multiple elements of proof If you have testimonials, you have to put that in your copy. Maybe you have some scientific explanation as to how your product is more effective than others. Or maybe you have some expert opinions, etc. 8. Tell them how they can get it (and that they can't get this anywhere else) Here you have to explain your checkout process and how long will they have to wait (if it's a physical product that will be delivered to their address) 9. Remove the risk, have a guarantee, etc. Removing the risks they feel when buying your product can help you close the sale. It doesn't have to be a money-back guarantee, you can have a "no person left behind guarantee". 10. Give reasons why they should buy now (and not later) Any form of scarcity or implied scarcity can help a lot to boost your conversions. You can also do a crossroads close: "You have two choices. You can do what you've always been doing, maybe you'll figure this out for yourself, maybe you won't. "Who knows where you'll be two years from now? Maybe you'll be exactly where you are, or maybe you'll be worse off. "Or you can do the smart decision. I've already shortcutted it for you, I've already done all the research, I've already created the step-by-step program. "We've already done all the hard work for you, you simply have to follow this 30-day approach and you'll achieve dramatic results." You can also say "7,833 people have already bought this. They all have an advantage over you right now. Will you be next?" That's it from me right now, this is an unusually long email, but I hope you learned something. Talk soon! Kind regards, |
