FIND US ON THE WEB

Dear Agung,
Many of us have dreamed of finding a job that we love, myself included (and I do love my job, for the record!). But, I recently read an article in the New York Times that made me re-think how we define "loving" our jobs, and it made me think that there is a critical reminder that needs to be made -- there is more than one way to love your job!
We all likely have had a job we didn't like, but that we kept doing for a variety of reasons. So just because it's not a dream job, does it mean that we shouldn't be proud of ourselves for doing well even if we didn't enjoy it all that much? Of course not. Even if the job itself isn't all that great, we can incorporate happiness and value into our jobs by looking at its tangential benefits, even if it's impossible to make it the main focus.
Along these lines, I wrote a piece for LinkedIn this week that reminded me that work flexibility is one way to find enjoyment in a job. If you can have a job that gives you more flexibility to find a better work-life fit, even if you don't love the actual day-to-day work you do, you can find more enjoyment for your job because it helps you meet that end goal. Please check out the whole article on LinkedIn: 5 Ways to Be Happy In a Job that Isn't Your "Passion".
With that being said, read on for job searching tips, great job leads, and more... all with the hopes that help you find a job that you love! Job Seekers: 19 Questions to Ask in Job Interviews
There are questions job seekers should ask during job interviews. After all, that is the opportunity to take a little bit of control in the interview, highlight issues that are important to you, and emphasize why you are the best choice for the position. Candidates who don't ask any questions, or only ask a couple of very vague questions, give the impression that they are not very interested in the job or the company. If you want to show enthusiasm in your job search, be prepared to take this part of the interview seriously.
